About ChessViz
Most chess viewers replay what happened. This one shows what is about to.
Hover any piece and its whole future lights up — every square it will stand on for the
rest of the game, with a mark where it gets captured. Underneath, a control layer shows
who owns which squares, so you can watch territory change before material does.
It ships with all 827 games Bobby Fischer played, 1955–1992, and an opening book
built from his 433 games as white — at any position he reached, it tells you what he
actually chose and how often. The 60 games from My 60 Memorable Games are tagged
as a study set.
Game scores come from PGN Mentor. No annotations from any book are included; everything
the tool says is computed from the moves.
Zero dependencies, no build step, no tracking, nothing stored. The chess engine, PGN
reader and piece artwork are all written for this project.

Nothing is collected, stored or sent anywhere. Any PGN you load is read in your own
browser and never leaves your machine. No accounts, no cookies, no newsletter you will
later regret.
Chess moves are facts, and facts cannot be owned. The games here come from public
sources. Fischer's moves are included; Fischer's opinions stayed in his book, where
they belong.
The tool can be wrong. It is a study aid, not an engine and not an oracle. If it says
you are winning and you are not, that is between you and the position.
